Unable to use the Stocks using item journals through configuration packages

Hello Community,

We are facing a dilemma with our item journal entries.

We entered the stock using item journals through configuration packages into a location with directed put-away and pick enabled. The bin type code for the 'adjustment bin' is set as Put-away & Pick. All stock was successfully posted, and the lot numbers were assigned correctly.

However, none of the items are consumable—they cannot be shipped or used as raw material components in production.

Is there any solution to make this stock usable?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you, Mr. Yun Zhu, for the response.

Will a negative adjustment be reflected in the financial data?

Additionally, are there any other ways to import stock apart from item journals?

    Hello,

You can try to perform a warehouse reclassification journal to move the items from the adjustment bin to a proper pickable bin. This will update the warehouse entries and makes the inventory available for shipping or production use.

Hope this answer will help you!

Continuing answer to your 2nd Question

Yes, a negative adjustment via item journal will impact financial data by reducing inventory and posting to the related accounts.

As for importing stock, besides item journals, you can also use Physical Inventory Journals, Warehouse Journals, or Purchase Invoices for initial stock entry depending on your setup.

✅ Mark this answer as verified if it helps you.

    Hello,

My understanding is that the only way would be to perform a negative adjustment and a new load with the correct settings on the product using a product journal.

    I hope I can help.

    Regards,

    Andres
