Copy the format of one report to another

I have made some changes to our Direct Deposit Statement of Earnings in Report writer. Now I want to copy the same format over to the Reprint Pay Statement report. So I can reprint pay statements for employees and have them look similar to the Direct Deposit Statement. I have tried Exporting both files and then copying the test from the Statement to the Reprint, but that didn't work. I'm sure I could be missing a step or doing something wrong entirely.

I dont think you can because it uses different tables...

That's what I was afraid of, is there anyway to have that report pull the same tables?

Pretty sure it is history on a reprint...so no...maybe you can copy and the replace the tables...but pretty sure the fields and names will be different

Hi Craig,

Those reports use different tables (Work tables vs History tables), so I don't know of a way to copy the report format that way. You would need to modify each report separately in Report Writer.
