Dynamics 365 App for Outlook cache problem

Hello,

In Dynamics 365 App for Outlook I want to track email and create Lead from it, but Lead form is not the same as in CRM (missing new fields).

I tried to Delete IE cache Tools->Safety->Delete browsing history.

It did not solve issue, and new fields are still missing. However one of the option set values has been refreshed in App.

I tried to disable App from Outlook Add-ins and re-enable, but it also did not fix the problem.

Guys, any ideas on this issue?

RE: Dynamics 365 App for Outlook cache problem

After some time we fixed Issue:

Outlook App uses Quick Create form for Lead.

After some testing, I found out that first user who opens Lead Create in App cashes form for every users in this Organizations.

The cashed form sits somewhere in server, and possibly in users computer also. The server cashed form also knows form Guid.

The problem is - Server Cashed form ignores form changes (e.g. new fields) and do not re-cache form.

This "bug" we faced is on D365 V8.2 version.

Solution: Every time you make changes to form or its javascripts, you have to Save As to new Quick Create form and Change Form Load Order to firstly Load new created form.

    Thank you James for answering.

"Reading pane in Dynamics 365 for Outlook" has been set. I tried to remove setting -> Save -> Publish -> Resore setting -> Save -> Publish, but it did not refresh Lead Form in App.

In Field Synchronization there are no choice for Lead entity (Only Contact).

I tried to set Synchronization to None in Mailbox. App showed error. But after setting back to Server Side Synchronization, Lead form is still showing old fields.

I feel is something related to local cache on this computer...

There are a few settings that need to be setup to use entities and attributes in the outlook app.  On the entity itself there is "Reading Pane in Dynamics 365 for Outlook" and "Offline Capability for Dynamics 365 for Outlook"

Next has field synchronization been setup for that attribute?  Here is the Microsoft documentation on that.
