Slowness in Integration Manager for GP 2013 R2

Hello:

We upgraded to GP 2013 R2 from GP 2010, back in January.  At the beginning of each month, both before and after the upgrade, a user has accessed Integration Manager for importing receivables data.

Prior to the upgrade, the user reported that the integration normally takes a few hours to run.

At the beginning of last month, February, the integration took 7 hours.  Today, here in March, it's taking longer.

The long and the short of it is that this integration has taken longer to run, since the upgrade, and it has gotten even slower for this month.  Along with other users, he accesses GP and therefore Integration Manager through a Terminal Server from overseas.  (The Terminal Server is located here in the U.S.)

Although I have expressed that there have been some networking issues today, my users don't believe that this is causing the slowness.

So, I have to find some options, to try to remedy this.

Would installing the latest service pack for Integration Manager potentially eliminate this slowness?  We are on Integration Manager 2013 version 12.00.1753.

Thanks!

John

Also, does installing the service pack install new code or files into the GP code folder?

    Hi John,

Did you also move from frx to Management Reporter with the upgrade? If so do the MR Process and Application services reside on the same server as the GP SQL Database?

    Hi Kirk:

    No, we did not.

In fact, we just started implementing Management Reporter, two weeks ago.  And, the two MR services reside on a different Terminal Server from the one that is used by this user for Integration Manager.

Can you watch the resource utilization on the SQL server and the terminal server while the integration takes place? Sorry I can't answer the question about the service pack. I have only touched IM a few times.

    Hi John,

Have a look at this article, in particular, regarding the virus scanner setup.

    support.microsoft.com/.../898982

IM does gradually get slower as more data is imported.
