Migration from ACT! does a mapping document exist?

Hello,

I want to use the SDK to migrate data from ACT! to CRM. Before I go on my own discovery trip I would like to see if there is a document out there explaining the field and table mappings. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thank you

I faced similar challenge to extract ACT data including Contacts and their Notes and History. I tried to write Dot Net code to get data out of ACT, but could not find any help on the net, especially for ACT: Notes and History.
Later I tried a self built solution which was longer but successful: -

    1. Export contacts records from ACT into a csv file.
    2. Adjust the data so extracted as your need
    3. To extract Notes and History, I had to write AutoIT script that would open every contact screen in ACT and read that info and save into a CSV file. -This takes long time and depends upon the number of records in ACT.
    4. Adjust the notes and History data extracted from ACT to be ready for CRM
    5. Run Data Migration Tool of MS-CRM to import from CSV files

    Regards,
    -Ajay

There is also a tool out there that does it all for you and is rather inexpensive (Under $1,000).  Converts everything including opportunities, contacts, history items, notes, activities, custom fields, companies, opportunities, products and even groups as marketing lists.  Check it out here:  http://www.pinpointtools.com/getloaded-from-act!-to-crm.aspx

I've used it and love it.  Touch base with me if you have any specific questions.
