We recently upgraded our CRM Online instance to Dynamics 365, and I've been playing with the updated version of the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook. We're using Office 365 and server-side synchronization.
I've noticed that if I start composing a reply in Outlook and "Set Regarding" to a case [ per https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics/crm-customer-center/dynamics-365-app-for-outlook-user-s-guide.aspx#ComposeEmail ], the e-mail eventually gets tracked, but it's not associated with the case. I have to do "Set Regarding" again through the App to get it to actually link to the case.
Has anyone else seen this behavior or can think of what might be causing it? Thanks.
