"You can not post to a tax period that has not not been setup"

I selected the GST tax option for Australia tax which would normally provide a tax period setup option, After deselecting the option I am unable to post as I receive an error message that "you can not post to a tax period that has not been setup"

One is not setup but why am I not able to post since i do not want to setup this option at this timeand the previous selected is no longer enabled.

Using Dynamics GP 2013

You need to setup your tax period just the way you setup your fiscal period. Administration --> Setup --> Company --> Tax Periods

I ticked both enable tax date and enable GST for Australia, but the problem persists, is there any other solutions?

Hi Karlyn

Is "Enable Tax Date" selected? That is the setting that actually drives the setup of the tax period. It must be selected if you choose to Enable GST for Australia. But it can be used independently too so if you unticked the Australia setting, you may have inadvertently left the tax date selected.
