Does anyone know how to delete a Real Time Marketing Journey once it is stopped? There is no button to delete or deactivate the Journey.
Hi,
I wouldn't typically plug any sort of Idea on the MS forums, but the Idea to delete these Real-time Marketing Journeys is starting to gain traction. Please if you want to further help draw Microsoft's attention to this, please vote if you have a spare few seconds:
We may also need to push forward this Idea on Real-time Marketing Segments also!
This is the conclusion I have come to as well. I hope they add the delete functionality as it really screws with your naming conventions. I think the reasoning is that if you were to delete a real time Journey and leave the flow out there the Journey is technically still live and running possibly so be careful to only delete completed or stopped ones.
FYI, when you go live with the Journey it creates a Power Automate Flow which is prefixed with CXP_,
Hello,
I was in contact with Microsoft Support and you cannot delete the Real-time Customer Journeys at this time. You can delete the journeys with the XRM Toolbox: "Bulk Data Updater" tool. However, the Power Automate Flow that is created automatically upon the creation of the real time journey, will not be deleted. You should then go to the default solution and delete the Power Automate Flows as well.
Best,
Nina
I'm the System Admin of this environment and it seems that no one is able to delete the Real Time Marketing Journeys. I filed a ticket for this, so lets hope we get an answer.
Hi Nya ,
I have the same issue, I am the system admin so the role should not be the issue. In addition to not being able to delete the stopped or finished Real-time Journeys (I can delete only the drafts), it is also not possible to edit the live journey.
Best,
Nina
Retha van der Walt - did you find an answer to this? I also stopped a real time journey and see no way of deleting or archiving. I thought I saw a delete button before on the initial listing page when I selected a stopped journey, but it was with a different account - so maybe it is a permissions thing? Unfortunately the security roles are not documented well for D365 Marketing.
Hi,
Is the delete button only available for stopped journeys? How about draft journeys?
If none of these are displayed, please check that the security role of the user you are logged in to is missing the delete permission for this entity (msdynmkt_journeys).
