Claims Based Authentication

I an On-Prem instance of Dynamics CRM 2016. We keep our server behind a firewall and it is only accessible via VPN. We wanted to use the mobile app with our team. According to Microsoft, we have to configure Dynamics to run in IFD to use the mobile app. So, after using the system without claims for a few months, we went about setting up the ADFS server  and configuring our mobile VPN tunnel to work with the CRM server.

The final part of this was setting up Claim-based uathentication so I could reconfigure the instance as and IFD. I followed the steps put forth in the online guide to configuring Claims based auth. This eventually brought me to a log in screen where I was unable to use my credentials to successfully log in. Unfortunately, time had run out on my setup and I was forced to turn off claim based auth. Temporarily until I could reattempt at a later date. But now when I go back into deployment manager and turn claims auth back on in an attempt to work on it again, the system already thinkg it is configured for claims. I have been researching online on how to toggle this setting manually, hoping for a simple SQL column that needs to be adjusted, but to no avail.

Does anyone know where how to reset the claims-based deployment setting?

Do I need to repair/reinstall my web front end completely to start this process over?

Thanks,

Please be advised that although this may be a perfect valid solution, it's not supported to make changes to the database. If you can't solve it, you might be better of creating a support call with Microsoft to prevent your CRM from being in an unsupported state.

In the MSCRM_Config database, table called federationprovider. Delete the data from that column and check again.

    Note:

Please take the backup of the MSCRM_Config database and delete the data in the federationprovider table.
