I have posted this many times but got no response from the community members. Anyone with the solution please comment.

I purchased a fixed assets item and generated a PO and received it as capital item. After that from Financials>Cards>Fixed assets>Fixed assets general information window I created a fixed asset record by hitting the purchase button appearing on the window and selecting the Receipt Number and saved it. When I go to fixed assets GL posting it gives the error as captioned in the subject line. Below is the screen shot of the error as well. Please help me in fixing this problem. We are using Dynamics GP 2013 R2.

Hi Victoria In my Case the transaction is showing in Financial Detail Inquiry but when I try G/L it gives the same error one which Rashid was dealing with.

If your GP Partner is not able to help with this, I would recommend finding another resource that can help you with these kinds of routine GP questions that will invariably come up as you use the software. While you can find answers on forums often, it's not a substitute for training or directed help. ttrockstars

Thank you for your effort.

Kindly help me in my case.

When querying for a specific asset in the path ( Inquiry >> Fixed Assets >> Financial Details ) I find the data and no problem with it, but when I go to make GL Posting in the path (Tools >> Routines >> Fixed Assets >> GL Posting ) The same error showing "There are no transactions matching these restrictions message" and I tried to use all option like (Asset ID and Period) It did not work.

I would recommend working with your GP Partner so they can log into your system or do a screen-sharing session and see that the problem is.

Hi Victoria,

For my case all the above solution didn't work I even did some testings on Fabrikam still not resolved I think it is a bug in GP 2015 R2 could you please suggest another solution.

Yes I was missing the book information. Upon addition of fixed assets book information GL posting is showing the information. Thank you very much again.

Rashid,

What is missing in your steps is setting up Book Information for the asset - normally this is set up to happen automatically when you create the asset, which is why I was mentioning checking your Fixed Assets setup.

I am continuing with the step 5 image wasn't added above.

Step 6. Going to Routine >Fixed assets >and GL posting. Routine is not picking up the asset information for posting.

Step 7. Going to inquiry and checking the asset information from fixed assets>financial details but there are no transactions as well.

Please look into it and suggest something that might fix it.
