Hi folks,

Can you please advise me on the error "An exact street name match could not be found and phonetically matching the street name resulted in either no matches or matches to more than one street name"?

Even though I check on the google maps  for the spelling, it still does not work.

Thank you

Nhi

    Hi Babu,

I got this error when I post some sales batches in GP, mostly for foreign customers.

    Thanks,

Nhi do you have some kind of third party add-on that validates addresses against some kind of locations services api like google locations or HTML5 geolocations?

I'm not aware of GP having any ability of validating addresses.

Can you share some screen shots of the transactions in question and then a screen shot of the actual error message so we can get a better understanding of what's going on.

    Hi Nhi,

This error look like Avalara Tax not able to calculate the tax based on the address city or state.  You may contact the Avalara support with this error and they can give the solution for you.

I would check the spelling of the street name and city and possibly the number of the address. Avalara is reading what is in GP and is unable to find the address based on this information. Avalara is a third party product that computes sales tax based on the address of the customer and/or vendor.

    Hi Richard,

I have checked the address on google map and it exists. The PO was delivered successfully to this address though.

I agree with Babu, you need to check with Avalara support on this one, this isn't a native GP function.

I also vote for an email to be set to support@avalara.com. It is their code that is having difficulty.

I got help from Avalara for this error. Turn out that I need to go in each line item and fix the customer's address for Ship to address.

Thank you for all your support.
