How to set Mandatory code in all the fields of Chart of Accounts 7xxxxxx and 8xxxxx in Navision 2018?

Posted on by 4,230

Hi,

My accounts would like to add Dimension code mandatory for all the Dimension values of profitcostcenter in 7xxxxxx and 8xxxxx as code mandatory.

As you might be aware in chart of accounts there are many lines of 7xxxxxx and 8xxxxx.

How can I fill the mandatory for the lines without going one by one?

Thank you!

    Josh,

Based on Josh A's reply did you get this to work?

    Thanks,

    Steve

That scenario can make it hit and miss. Try deleting whatever is there and adding what you certainly need across all

Hmm... I tried highlighting all the 7xxxxxx and 8xxxxx and then go to Dimension Multiple, when I select in. I can see that the code Mandatory is already selected. However, when I go one by one to select,  I still see the Dimension to be empty.

But if go in one by one to check, its still empty.

On the chart of accounts page you can select all the accounts in that range and use the button “Dimension Multiple” instead. Failing that you can use a configuration package to import the data
