GP2010 Integration Manager and eConnect Installs - 'only support silent install'

Okay -

My server is Windows 2008 64 bit.

SQL2008 R2

I did a fresh install of GP2010 (this is new server) and successfully upgraded V90 databases. GP2010 is working great.

I am now attempting to install Integration Manager and eConnect.

When I click Integration Manager exe under Additional Products folder - I get the following message:

"This installation package only supports silent installation"

I get same message if I click eConnect.

First - I certainly do not want to silently install (either product).

Second - I am using the downloaded GP2010 DVD SP1 media from MBS...

I am stumped.........not a permissions issue......can't be a windows installer issue.....(I installed GP2010 client no problem) - .Net 3.5 is installed (confirmed) MDAC 2.8 components also installed...

Any thoughts???????????????

    Bron,

Is there also an eConnect.exe in the same directory?  That's what you'll want to use.

    Thanks

    Rob -

There is a eConnect.exe under the eConnect folder under the additional products folder. If I click it - I get same message.

Couple of additional facts - I do not have Office installed on this server - do I need office?

The GP install folder is on the 'E' drive. Is it possible Integration Manager is looking only on C drive for a GP install?

    Your thoughts?

    Bron,

That's odd, typically the error message you are seeing is what happens when you try to install directly from the .msi file rather than the .exe.

Office is not required for eConnect or Integration Manager so you should be fine there. The GP install folder being on the E drive won't cause any problems either.

I'd suggest trying to install Integration Manager and eConnect directly from the main Setup.exe at root of your DVD media folder. Under the Additional Products section you have the ability to install both IM and eConnect.

    Thanks

I had the same issue, and this applys to the upgrade. (At least for my system). I grabbed the .msi instead of the .msp

Move it to root and install as admin from cmd
