Enable the Claim based Authentication and Internet Facing Deployment after disabling them

Dear Experts,

We are having our ms crm 2011  on IFD setup, we want to remove the IFD setup and as a part of removing the IFD from ms crm we need to disable the claim based authentication and IFD from deployment manager.

Now my question is , is it possible if we disable claim based authentication and IFD from deployment manager and later wants to enable it.

can we directly enable it by clicking Enable claim based authentication and IFD from deployment manager or do we need to setup both again ?

Regards

Ahmed

    Hi Ahmed ,

yes, it is possible to disable it.

If you setup host for https and http you are ready, otherwise you need to change it.

Remember also to change every reference to the organization url: it will change from http://myorg.domain.ext to something like http://myserver/myorg.

    Please let us know.

    Hi Ahmed,

The other part of this is are you planning to continue using HTTPS or are you going to start using HTTP again.

If you are staying with HTTPS, then that's all, just re-enable Claims and IFD.

You will have to make sure that the certificates are updated on the ADFS and CRM server of course.

If you are moving back to HTTP, you will need to change your Bind Type and possibly your web application addresses in the Dynamics CRM Properties (Web Address Tab).

    Hope this helps.

Yes it is possible to disable both now, and re-enable them later. When re-enabling go through the wizards again. The wizard will remember your values so it is just a matter of verifying that it is still correct.
