Illegal sign for Updating quantity in Inventory Counting Journal

Hi ,

I have Created a counting journal line with an ItemID "A0001". When i validate the journal this returns an error as mentioned below. Help me on this.

Hi Ram,

Do you have 'negative' lines in the counting journal?

That might be the issue.

Please double check and try posting again once things are corrected.

Hi Ludwig,

Yes when i try to update quantity with given value, it doesn't take the value given. It returns a negative value automatically. Here is my Excel sheet. For ItemID "A0001" it cant accept the given value.

Hi Ludwig,

Here is the screenshot. When i try to update the quantity for the ItemID "A0001" it cant accept the value given. It takes a default negative value.

Hi Ram,

The items seem 'contoso standard' items.

Can you try increasing the on-hand quantity to 11 and check if you can post the transaction in your demo environment?

Hello Ram,

You can't count -5 onhand, did you mean to set onhand to zero?
