VS 2012 - Error Loading new CRM Solution "system cannot find the file specified".

Posted on by 1,320

We are using Dynamics CRM 2015 On-Premise. I have CRM SDK 2013 installed for VS 2012. When trying to create a new CRM Solution, after connecting to the CRM Server and clicking OK, I get the below error message. Any help would be appreciated.

I ended up installing Visual Studio 2012 Professional and starting from scratch and have no issues. Thanks

Did you check if there are any log files under Users\<<username>>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft or any log on event viewer ??

We are using Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Shell (Integrated). Could this be the issue because we are not using a full version of VS?

    Hi ,

Could you please uninstall and install toolkit again.

I am not sure but you may get help from below reference.

I just tried re-installing CrmDeveloperToolsVS12_Installer and I still get the same error. Is there supposed to be a specific location the SDK needs to be installed? I've also opened those links but I am running VS 2012.
