Is there a way to exclude a certain product group from generating the raw material piking work? Work policies can be used but it seems that every item needs to be added to the list individually.
The point is to avoid user input as much as possible.
You can filter out the items for which you do not want the raw material picking work to be generated using the work template query. Use any item field or group and if you have custom requirement than use filter codes to filter out such items and system will not generate work for these items and will do for the rest.
See below
1 _ I release one work order when there was no filter on the work template. 5 raw material picking work generated Work is generated for item 20013101.
2 - Now let's try block item 20013101. I update the item master data by updating filter code as "No WMS Pick"
3 - Update the work template to filter out such items.
4- Now release again and you can see that raw material picking work is not generated for item 20013101.
So, this way you can group all such items for which you want that no raw material picking work should be generated and system will not create picking work for them,
