Linking Bank Accounts "Online"

(0) ShareShare

Hi:

When you click on a Bank Account in the Bank Account list page and choose to link it to an online service through the menu, is this for the purpose of linking that Bank Account to the online banking service to import bank statements for bank reconciliation?

If so, what fields do you need to fill in within the Bank Account card to make this work?

Is there any documentation on linking bank accounts online other than through Yodlee?

Thank you!

John

    Hi,  hope the following helps.

"The Envestnet Yodlee Bank Feeds service is only supported in the online version of Business Central."

    Hi:

It's actually not the Yodlee feed that I'm interested in.  I'm talking simply plain vanilla linking to an account online.

Also, the tutorial shows the Payment Reconciliation Journal.  But, instead of bringing up a date range window, it is actually just giving me a button to browse for a statement.

    I don't understand.

Is there not an automated way of pulling statements, other than through Yodlee?

If it has to be through Yodlee, what if the end user does not have access to the online bank itself?

You should start with the Assisted Setup for linking Bank accounts for bank statement import. It walks you through the setup of the file format and will automatically do the data definition setup and update your bank account card.

You need to download the bank statement format that you will use each month so that you know the format.
