    Hi Siddhant,

The auto approval must be setup in the timesheet workflow.

Please check this workflow and assign the correct people that can approve them.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

In my case the auto approval is already working but the problem is whenever the User is submitting the timesheet it is getting auto approved.

But we want to run auto approval on Tuesday of every week.

How can we implement this case.

I tried to active this case by adjusting the recurrence of batch job to Tuesday. It's working but I am not sure is it a good practice or not?

    Thanks and regards

    Hi,

The batch job recurrence is one option.

Another one is considering escalations in the workflow.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    HI Siddhant,

Which batch job are you referring to here? Is it the workflow message processing batch? If you are referring to this batch, it isn't a good practice when there are other workflow approvals setup in your environment.

Why do you want to have it only approved on Tuesdays?

    Hi Andre,

Yes , The batches are Workflow line-item notifications and Workflow message processing.

There only 1 workflow is running. But i am concerned about this.

If the batch will run only once in a week, Will it approves all the time sheets in the workflow?

I want approval on Tuesday because when in the Users will fill timesheets on Friday of every week and managers will review it by Monday and after that it should be auto approved.

So to full fill this requirement I want auto approvals to run on Tuesday.

    Thanks and regards

    Hello Siddhant Singh,

What is the main problem if your workflow would directly run on Friday when people record their workflows?

If I understand your scenario then managers would get approval tasks assigned that they can review the timesheets Monday.

But why would you want to wait till Monday?

I know a lot of people who do that review Friday night or over the weekend.

I don't see a reason why you want to wait with the creation of the review and approval tasks.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Siddhant,

It wouldn't be a good practice. The workflow message job takes care of the assignment, but also changing the status of the workflow. If you also have automatic posting, this will also require the batch processing.

When you are talking about an auto approval on Tuesday when a manager did not have time for the review, you should consider working with escalations. After a certain time limit, the timesheet can then be automatically approved.
