Error while importing data from excel-addin for HcmEmployment Entity

Hi Friends,

I am getting this error while importing data from excel-addin

A row created in data set EmployeesV2 was not published. Error message: 'Write failed for table row of type 'HcmEmployeeV2Entity'. Infolog: Info: Cannot edit a record in Worker calendar assignment (WorkCalendarEmployment). Employment: Usha HR emp USSI 4/23/2023 06:30:00 pm 12/31/2154 11:59:59 pm, Standard. The record already exists..

This error arises even after inserting a completely new record in excel-addin.

Please help me on this issue.

Hi, If you are getting same error while creating new record from User Interface then please check this thread.

Hi Badri,

There is already record in the WorkCalendardEmployment table - Open that table,filter by that employment and delete the record and try again.

This table will be used in the below path.

Worker >> Project >> Project setup >> Calendar (Field name).

Navigate to that employee and see if there is any calendar exists.

Hi Girish

I am not able to find how to filter the record in WorkCalendarEmployment Table.I am not sure for which record it is creating the duplicate value.This is how the table looks.Based on the error how can i filter for the record which is being duplicated.I checked for the employment name "Usha HR" it did not exist.Please let me know how i should proceed on this.There was a reply to refer this stoneridgesoftware.com/.../.I made changes but still it did not help.

You need to find out the name Usha from DirPartyTable using name Field - Join with HcmWorker table using.

HcmWorker.Person == DirPartyTable.RecId

Then join HcmEmployment table with HcmWorker

HcmEmployment.Worker == HcmWorker.RecId

Then join WorkerCalendarEmployment table where

WorkCalendarEmployment.Emplyment == HcmEmployment.RecId

Hi Girish,

I executed the code as you suggested.I found out these results in SQL.I did not find the name Usha HR in the table.Please let me know how i should proceed.

Thanks for your reply.I performed the same steps as suggested in this link.I did these steps for the table WorkCalendarEmployment.Even after performing these steps i am still getting the same error.Please let me know how to proceed.

Can you try debugging and see what EmploymentId is system complaining about. Unique index is on EmploymentId field in WorkCalendarEmployment table. If you find EmploymentId, check if it exists in that table.

See if there is any empty "Calendar Id" in the table WorkCalendarEmnployment table.

If there is any record with empty calendar id value, delete them and try importing again.

Hi Girish,

There are about 532 records out of 1000 records which have Calendar Id field as null.Actually i am testing the scenario in build environment is it okay if i delete all the 532 records ?

So, this may not be issue. Try debugging and find out which employment id is causing the issue.
