Heya guys,

Hope that you are doing well.

I am having very strange issue with the advanced tax calculation and more specifically with the "Tax calculation parameters."

The issue is happening in 10.0.43 UAT environments.

Stopped (error): Tax feature id is empty. Tax calculation failed.

Based on this i figured that the issue is in the "blank" version in the parameters.
YNV-UAT CY26 (this is company short code) after i enabled it yesterday.

YNV-UAT CY06 (long time ago ISV provider did this setup for us but not a lot of documentation).

Now the funny part is that you must select the “name from the drop down.
However, the version field does not get populated automatically afterwards and you cannot choose from it.

What is even more confusing is that in Dev this works as expected, but in UAT now.

I checked the Tax Calculation tile in Globalization studio as well and is completed see below for reference

I am way outside of this area, but it seems logical to me that the version should be auto populated once you pick the feature name.

Anyone having an idea about this or faced something similar to this ?

Hi Simeon,

As far as i understand, this has nothing to do with ISV, you took the help of ISV but this setup is standard only. .right?

This error is known and discussed in MS article as well,

Can you please try by selecting the older version (MS) and then reselect this one? It seems to refresh issue or cache issue mostly.

Also, verify the version number in UAT and Dev environment, it should be same and latest.

If possible, try to complete one more version in Dev box and import in UAT again.

Haha thanks CA Neeraj Kumar .

Basically, i created new feature based on the existing one.

Afterwards i just changed the status to completed and once i picked my feature the "version" field got populated.

I reverted back to the previous feature, and it got populated as well.

From what i see there is no other impact, but if you can think of something i may need to look at please let me know.

Hi Simeon,

As long as you are able to select your original version that you were expecting there is no issue. As creating a new feature based on exisitng also , doesn't create any issue, but to maintain the uniformity across all legal entities and to make any changes in future it would be better to use the original one that you have already done now. So, no further impacts.

Glad to know that it works for you as it was mostly refresh/cache issue.
