SdkMessageProcessingStep  :This entity defines how a plug-in or custom workflow activity should be registered in a stage of the event execution pipeline and under what conditions it should be executed.

I want to use them with workflow activites.Does anybody know how to do that?

    Hi,

This a system entity which store information about the plugin messages, so when you will register your plugin on some message, SDKMessageProcessingStep entity will contain record of it. Once you registered plugin on some message, the plugin will be called with you will call that service method. For example you have registered plugin on create of account, when you will create account record from webservice call/workflow your plugin will fire automatically.

    Hope it will help.

    Thanks

when workflow assembly is registered crm automatically registers all the available steps internally and makes it available under workflow steps. It's up to you to decide when you want to call this custom workflow activity steps within the workflow. Plugin sdkprocessing steps are automatically triggered once registered but in case of workflow step you have to call custom workflow step as part of your workflow. For example if you have written workflow step to calculate due date of an application based on application date once you register the assembly this step will be available under add step within the workflow. If your workflow gets triggered on create and if you like to calculate due date then you can add your custom workflow step as step within your workflow.
