SharePoint Documents Missing from Navigation

I have enabled SharePoint integration on a CRM 2013 organization but I do not have Documents in the ribbon of entities that were configured for SharePoint (such as Lead & Account).

  • I did import the Crm List Component solution to SharePoint
  • I configured Document Management Settings in CRM
  • The target SharePoint site is listed as the Default Site in Active SharePoint Site
  • I have confirmed that the Libraries were successfully created in SharePoint
  • Documents is not displayed in the Ribbon of Account or Lead (both configured in Document Management Settings)
  • I have used the form editor to see if Documents could be added, but it is not listed in Available Relationships either

Has anyone else run into this? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

The environment is CRM 2013 UR2 with SharePoint 2010.

Did anyone find a solution?  I'm getting similar issue but I'm using Dynamics CRM Online (April 2014) and I can see the documents when I log in as system administrator but not as a regular user.  I've shared the sharepoint library (at the parent) with everyone and set the SharepointSite Security Role to Organization for the roles but still nothing.

I am also experiencing the same issue as you described. Checked all, missing from the available relationships. Is this a RU2 issue?

    Hi Frank,

When I did face this issue, logged an incident with MS. They firstly checked clearing temp files for IE but issue did not get resolved.

We finally came to conclusion that our systems were going to internet via Proxy settings. We tried bypassing proxy settings which resolved it.

You can probably check this once at your environment.

    Thanks,

    Pradeep P

    Have look at this: community.dynamics.com/.../124946.aspx

My "Document" navigation items keep disappearing and I haven't managed to find a proper solution. My environment is the same CRM 2014 UR2 and SharePoint 2010.

I am not using any proxy settings and my only managed solutions are developer tools that I have not had any issues with in the past.

I believe that updating to CRM 2013 SP1 resolved the issue on my development environment but I am waiting until the client updates their release candidate and production environments to confirm.

Has SP1 resolved this issue for anyone else?

    Hi,

I have the same issue. In my case Documents shows up as a menu item in the form editor and the sharepoint page validates correctly. However in CRM i do not have the Documents link in any of the activated entities.

I have double checked the form editor and the navigation in the editor has the link in it.

At this point I don't have a way to get the Documents link back. It seems like it disappeared over night.

    Thanks,

    Andreas

We are seeing the same issue using SharePoint 2013 with CRM 2013. Everything appears to be configured properly but the Documents simply will not show up in the navigation menu. This seems to have occurred following the out-of-band update(s) that went out a little before Thanksgiving.

SP-1 did not resolve the issue for us. We are seeing it across all orgs on CRM 2013 with SP-1.

I opened a support ticket with Microsoft Dynamics Support. It is a known bug. The fix is supposed to be released with CRM 2013 SP1 UR 2. This UR is supposed to release before the end of the year. Support is checking to see if they can give me a hotfix however I am not sure yet if that is available.

Does anyone know if a hotfix has been released for this, or even the release timeline for SP1 UR2?
