Unknown COM Error all of a sudden - Few Days after changing router and internal IPs

We have had a rock solid RMS system running forever with internal IP scheme of 192.168.0.x, upper management wanted a dual WAN failover scheme for the store which required a change of router and a change of internal ip addressing schemes.  The original internal scheme was based on the router from the original ISP which gave out the 192.168.0.x scheme and since that router now hooked into the new router for the dual WAN, and it's bad to route to the same IP addressing scheme from the same scheme, we used 192.168.1.x as the new internal scheme.  Everything seemed to work fine for a few days, and this AM the store manager called us and said just one of the registers was having these COM errors ...

The actual text of the errors is very close to - Attempt to process COM object "TrackDeletePos.DeleteEntry" failed. An unknown error occurred.  There are few others but all have essentially the same text, and nothing works - the other register is still working perfectly.

The only other changes on the machine as of late has been - Windows Update stopped working, so we re-registered the windows update components. And then the Visual C++ Runtimes for 2017 got installed shortly after that was repaired.

We have tried running a repair on the RMS and that has done nothing to help.  We have deleted the register and reset it, to no avail.  Of course the standard reboots ... and nothing.

The systems are all Windows 7, all up to date with security patches, etc ... clean of viruses and malware.

Any help would be MUCHO appreciated ...

OK so I figured this one out after a few hours with a fine tooth comb - and another set of errors on our other register ...

turns out - windows was just being helpful after a few reboots, it figured since this was a new network it should reset the firewall rules and delete out the allow rules for SQL Server Port 1433 inbound .... once that was replaced everything worked properly again ....
