Hello Experts,

Has anybody ever gotten this business event to fire using power automate "Alerts as business events"? I have other business events working with power automate but this one just won't work.

I have the correct set up according to this

also I get the notification on the action center that an alert rule has been triggered but the flow won't run. It is showing correctly as an endpoint in the business events catalog, is this a bug?

Hi Juan,

Have you checked the last point on the BE troubleshooting page?

Alert business events don't trigger

One of the reasons why an event is not triggering could be a potential issue with alerts email functionality. Try turning off the send email option in the alert to see if that resolves the issue.

Yes, I thought that was the error initially so I unchecked the send email functionality. I also created a new one without the email. Still doesn't work.

Hi Juan,

Are you running on platform update 32? In that case, there was an issue which should be solved with a hotfix. Check KB 4551192 on LCS issue search.

I am on PU 33 currently. I guess the fix didn't make it to PU 33. I ll try to see if our partner will install the hot fix above.

Hello,

No, I gave up on it. Other business events work except for Alerts as business events. When I get back to this I ll probably open up a ticket to see what's going on.

Hi Juan,

I had some trouble as well with triggering an Alert business event.

I set the 'send externally' flag within my alert rule to ON and it worked for me.
