Dear All,

We are in process of implementing the dynamics 365. We want to migrate the data from oracle to Dynamics 365. According to our partner, they informed us. They cannot migrate the posted GRN’s and Invoices.  We would like to know is there any restrictions to migrate posted transaction or any system limit.

Regards

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Jassem,

You can use Data Management Framework (DMF) for this purpose. It is recommended to export historical report from the external solution to reporting solution like PowerBI and Import open transactions (not fully paid or partially paid) from external solution, Oracle, to D365FO via DMF with "General journal" entity.

You can try to export entity to get a template that can be used to import data.

Hi Jassem, There is not restriction to import historical data while it is not recommended method to import them in D365FO. Reporting solutions can be used for this purpose (like PowerBI, QLIK). It is dependent on which historical data that needs to be imported in D365FO or the reporting solution. When it comes to ledger transactions or customer/vendor open transactions, you can use DMF in D365FO.

Alireza Eshaghzadeh Thank you for your resposne. Just want to clarify that In case if we are importing historical data , whether our user want to do the GRN manually after migration ? or will it automatically migrated as GRN is posted ?

For Goods Received Note (GRN), If it is classified as product receipt of PO, you can evaluate to run the process manually in D365FO.
