Dear,

Can someone provide me with the sample file for import of a credit card statement in AX 2012.

Can someone guide me with the process to do the same?

Can I upload a .csv file for a credit card statement in AX 2012.

    Hello Binit Shah,

As far as I remember, the required structure resembles the columns that you can see in the pop up window that opens when you try entering a travel expense in the Enterprise Portal. The best option is to ask a developer for some help with this to be sure that the format is ok. In addition, please have a look at the following whitepaper (requires Login) that provides you some additional information on credit card imports for the travel and expense module view.officeapps.live.com/.../view.aspx

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

I need the format in which I should ask the client for the data? Can I have a sample file?

Yes the standard travel and expense module does have a standard import feature but i just require a sample file for import so that i can test whether the functionality is working as required

We are working with multiple credit card providers, mainly AMEX.

    Hi Binit,

Have a look on this CodePlex thread dynamicsax2012csv.codeplex.com it gives you complete idea how can you import credit card statement from CSV file. There is a youtube video in there so watch it too.

There is an out of the box service which can be used to import credit card statements (XML formatted) into AX. This link provides you more details how can you transform CSV file into correct XML format and push data into AX. blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../importing-credit-card-statements-into-microsoft-dynamics-ax-2012-using-aif-and-transformation-library

    The other option is to write your own classes to read data from CSV file and insert data into following tables;

    TrvPBSMaindata

    TrvEmpPaymethod

    Hi Binit Shah,

The credit card statement that you want to import is this for travel expenses or do you want to import it into a journal?

The travel and expense module has a standard import feature for specific credit card providers but not for all.

What is the credit card provider you work with?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
