We are planning to roll out the procurement module for the first time in our organization. I have configured the procurement category, with appropriate category names as well as friendly names.
We use the name field for a code, and a friendly name for the code description. For example "3333 (Supplies)". In this case, when you add a line to a purchase requisition and click on the procurement category field dropdown, you can see the code and the friendly name in brackets for each procurement category.
My account has a security role System Administrator. When I test creating a purchase requisition line, I can see both the name and the friendly name in the procurement category dropdown. However, when a user (requester) with the security role of "purchasing agent" selects a procurement category, they only see the name and not the friendly name.
Has anyone experienced this issue before? Thank you in advance!
