Audit Summary View Vs Audit Partions & AuditBase Table

Hi All,

I have an environment that I'm looking after which currently is running a tenant size of 88Gb. I was looking over the orgInsights to see where we might be able to cull some of the tables to bring that size down.

Currently our auditBase table and activityBase are occupying something in the realm of 50Gb of our total environment size.

It is critical that we maintain our entity auditing that is turned on some select entities. However we do not require the audit summary view. In addition to this, I'm seeing our audit partitions are occupying roughly 16Gb

So my question really is, where is this other 14(ish)Gb of Auditing data kept? Or is this audit table blown out somehow and do I need to raise a support case to get this remedied?

This is OOB audit features. When you Enable audit, entity record changes & user access will be collected & shown under Audit history associated view & summary view.

You cannot turn off Audit summary. You can uncheck user access audit capturing separately. Entity changes & attribute changes can be tracked by granular settings. Please revisit what’s enabled in your system.

The above steps will control your audit size growth. You can delete the old unwanted partitions from audit log management & free up space.
