Difference between Dynamics export to excel and dynamics Pivot in CRM

Hi, 

 Can anyone explain the difference between "Dynamics export to excel" and "Dynamics Pivot" ?

    Hi 1806CRM,

    Dynamics export to excel would directly export the static data of your view.

    Dynamics Pivot would export the dynamic data and you can do some summarize to analyse your data, such as Count, Sum etc.

    Hi Steve,

    Thanks for your response.

    IF I have to use insert (refer attached link) and add Pivot table then what benefits do we have of dynamics export to Pivot table.

    As shown in attached video link, I'm not getting Pivot as I download the file from CRM.
