Hey everyone,

I'm having a really really weird issue with configuration Wizard on a freshly installed Dynamics CRM for Outlook 2015 client.

The error I receive is: There is a problem communication with the Microsoft Dynamic Server. The server might be unavailable. Try again later. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator

and while looking at the logs I get:

17:27:39|  Error| Error connecting to Microsoft Online Services Endpoint using UPN  Exception: Microsoft.Crm.CrmException: get_user_name_failed: Failed to get user name ---> Microsoft.IdentityModel.Clients.ActiveDirectory.AdalException: get_user_name_failed: Failed to get user name ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: No mapping between account names and security IDs was done

I thought it might have been a Server Time versus Client Time but the logs says:

17:15:06|Verbose| Method entry: Microsoft.Crm.Application.Outlook.ConfigDiagnostics.LocalTimeDiagnostic.ExecuteInternal
17:15:07|   Info| Current UTC date/time from windows time server on the internet: 07/28/2015 21:15:08
17:15:07|   Info| Client UTC Date/Time: 07/28/2015 21:15:07
17:15:07|   Info| Difference (in minutes) between client time and actual time: 0.02890769
17:15:07|Verbose| Method exit: Microsoft.Crm.Application.Outlook.ConfigDiagnostics.LocalTimeDiagnostic.ExecuteInternal

I can easily access our CRM Online instance with the same credentials so that's not the issue,

I'm at a bit of a loss here, and can't find any answers online.

any suggestions?

thanks,

Jason

Can you please let me know how you are passing credentials while configuring the Organization. mailid@domain.com or domain\alias.

Try using mailID@domain.com instead of domain/alias.

    I'm doing it by

    maild@company.com

Same username/password as Outlook O365 account.

Something else to be said, when I created a new Outlook Profile... it stayed on processing(was working in the background) for 20-30 minutes...

    Probably related?

    Hey R.

I looked at that thread before. Turns out I didn't do 1 part.

I ended up opening a support ticket with Microsoft, and we uninstalled/re-installed the Microsoft Online Services Sign-in Assistant.

things got into place afterwards, and it's working now!

    Thanks,

    Jason
