Can I implement a Test Drive to my app source offer After my first deployment?

I am very close to submitting my first App Source offer. The only thing left I need to fill out in my Marketplace offering is the Test Drive info.

I was wondering if I can come back to implementing the test drive, after I make my first successful deployment/publish into App Source? Or if I have to implement Test Drive now?

I have the same question (0)

Testing is no longer mandatory for App Source app.

So where you are asked to provide your test app you can just provide the app file, same as where you upload the app.

Test app used to be mandatory, so Microsoft is just a bit behind with updating the UI in the market place.

But that said - doing automated testing is best practice and still recommended.

Sorry, I am not referring to Testing/the Test App. I am referring to the Test Drive feature you can add to your app.

    Ok, sorry i misunderstood you.

Unless your app is dependent on another service that you run i usually just fill in that no additional test info are needed.

Then you don't have to provide test accounts and all that good stuff.

If your app is dependent on f.ex. an Azure service that you run or something like that then that is another case.

I have disabled the Test Drive feature for now. Even after I submit my app and it publishes successfully, I shoud still be able to add the Test Drive feature right? NorthW

Hi, I just checked the MS Docs and it says this is recommended not mandatory.

    More details:

    Technical Validation Checklist

And after your extension is published on AppSource, you can also update information, such as screenshots, description information, supported countries, etc. I think Test Drive should also be able to.

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.

jdrco , Yes you can enable that later if you need it.

But i don't think it is much used for Business Central Apps and will probably require a lot of work from your side.

Hope you get the app published
