Dexterity 12 and TFS 2012 not able to checkout a resource

I am trying to get TFS source control and Dexterity integrated. I have read and followed the steps as described in the "Using Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2012 with Microsoft Dexterity" white paper. I have successfully performed an initial check-in of the dictionary resources. What I am unable to do is now to perform a check-out. I receive the following in the Source Code Errors dialog:

Level: Error Phase: Pulling Source Objects Message: Operation was not completed successfully

Is the TFS server the correct version for using with Dexterity version 12?

Thanks

MDA

I tried to hookup dexterity 11 with TFS, I gave up and used the generic provider instead.  The Generic one is text based, and adds more steps to your checkin/checkout, but at least it worked.

This blog solved the issue for me. community.dynamics.com/.../ambiguous-team-foundation-server-tfs-error-39-source-control-provider-could-not-be-initialized-39

Note that the title of the article, "Ambiguous Team Foundation Server (TFS) error 'Source control provider could not be initialized" was not relevant to me, but read on.

The part that speaks to Workspace Management was the issue for me. I had followed all the steps in the TFS/Dexterity whitepaper and believed I had set up the workspace location to Server, but it was set to Local. I set to Server, restarted DSCSS, and then I had to reset the root folder in the IDE ( first setting to parent of the real root folder, then back to root) and restarting IDE.
