I have seen several posts where users connect GP data to SharePoint 2010 lists via BCS (Business Connectivity Services), and External Content Types (ECT) but no real explanation about how to accomplish this.
I configured an ECT using a SQL Server connection to a GP 2010 company database, and selected Chart of Accounts as the table to display. In the Read Item operation, and Read List operation, I selected the fields to display in the list, and published the list to a SharePoint 2010 site.
I am getting this error:
Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'.
Although I set up the connection to use "existing user", the credentials attached to this account has database permissions. However, in reading more about this issue, it seems like a "double-hop" due to the GP Company database being on another server.
Is the correct configuration to include a Secure Store entry for this login? Or how to best configure this ECT list to display only in SharePoint?
