What do you mean by MS MVC? ASP.NET MVC? If so, you're trying to comparing a programming framework (or even a mere pattern) with a suite of ERP applications (Microsoft Dynamics include CRM, NAV, AX and so on). Such a comparison makes little sense.

    Hi Martin Drab,

    Thanks for your reply.

What will be the average salary for an AX technical resource?

I'm sorry, I don't have data to calculate such a statistic. Also "a technical resource" is way to general definition.

HI, I agree with Martin, your question is not really comparing 2 comparable objects and is too vague to give a definitive answer. As with any position, but with Dynamics even more so your salary will normally be a product of

    1. Experience (projects/years),

    2. Technical Knowledge (how much do you actually know and can do),

    3. the region you work in (2 identical resources will get vastly different salaries in different regions),

    4. the qualifications and certifications you have.

    5. The exact "technical" work you will be required to do (are you installing servers or doing development)

You can have a look at the Nigel frank surveys for some general info: www.nigelfrank.com/.../salarySurvey

When comparing being a specialised developer (e.g. Dynamics AX) or a more generic developer (.NET technologies) you may want to weigh up the following

Demand for the two options in your country. Dynamics may pay a bit more but there may be only one company in your area that you can work for, whereas there are likely to be many .NET companies.
