Inventory Transactions SmartList - Source Reference Number

Posted on by 2

Greetings,

I have a couple corrupt record fields that are preventing me from exporting my Inventory Transactions SmartList.  In the attached screen shot, you can see there are 2 records that have random characters in the Source Reference Number field.  I've run into the issue in the past where Excel throws an error trying to export records that contain random symbols/characters.  My problem is that I cannot find the table/field that contains that data to attempt to correct.

The only place I found anything similar is the SRCRFRNCNMBR field in IV30200, but that wasn't helpful.

Does anyone know where I can find the field?

Thanks.

Jim

Jen - Thanks!  I'd never heard of that dex.ini switch (probably b/c I never needed it!).  We're going to give it a try as we have another SL with a problem too.  Our developer is working to find a fix for the corrupt data.

Regarding your other question, this is the out of the box Inventory Transaction - the title bar was showing the favorite.  But I did investigate that one too.

    Thanks for your time!

One thought - to see if you can get around the export issue might be to add a dex.ini switch "enhancedsmartlistexport=true" which may allow it to export. It more or less doesn't try to format anything in excel so sometimes things export that don't without the switch enabled. That doesn't resolve the data issue of course but may get you moving forward for now.

Second thought. I can't tell from your screen shot exactly but is this a custom smartlist or the out of the box Inventory Transactions smartlist? The title on the screenshot looks different and I can't tell if it's the favourite name or a smartlist object name.

If it's custom (in smartlist builder or something), perhaps look at that in smartlist builder (or whatever tool it's built with), to verify the table and field it comes from. I've seen people change column names in smartlists so what you see displayed isn't the actual field name in the table and that often throws you off when looking for the underlying data.

Thanks Leslie!  I'm not having any luck.  The transaction originated in SOP and has been posted.  I've checked the SRCRFRNCNMBR  in IV30200 and and in SEE30303 and it just shows blank.  Any ideas how to troubleshoot this one?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

It also appears in the IV10000 (unposted transactions) and the SEE30303 (for the HITB report)

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
