Mixing licenses for same user on two different environmets.

Hello everyone,

I have big problem and i dont know how to solve it. So....

I have 2 environments on my tenant. One is Premium, second is Essential. I have few user who need access to both.
Is any way to mix licences this way? When i tried update users from M365, then im geting errors that few users have different license, what is true.

    Any ideas what can i do to alows users access enviroments?

    I understand that essencial does not have access to premium enviroment? but why downgrade is not allowed? This rule makes work very difficoult for big companies with few diferent enviroments. BC is useless if you have branches in other countries, and one have prroduction and others dont have... am i wrong?

    My recommendation for you would be to discuss this scenario with your CSP partner and they can involve Microsoft to get some advisory on how to configure your environments and licenses to fit your needs.

    I have no experience with the kind of environment you describe with mixing premium and essential in the same BC tenant. But i would ask Microsoft for advice before i went live with a scenario like that.
