User Groups and the SysAdmin Role

Hi, I have a strange situation. I have the System Administrator and I cannot post a transfer order unless I have been added to a user group.

Shouldn't I be able to post?

Hi this very strange. User groups are linked to Finance related Journals.

Are you sure that you are referring to transfer orders? We have an option in Transfer Journal as "Private for user group" This feature restricts other users to use to these journals.

Yes, We can restrict access to Journals using User groups. It has no dependency with user roles.

But the System Administrator should have access to everything regardless of the user groups...correct?

The system administrator has indeed access to all features as it is bypassing the security. But it is not bypassing functional setup for e.g. workflows or user group dependencies.

Hi brianmaric

system admin can see all forms and reports ...etc

you can not apply record level security for admin,

private for user will apply to all users (system admin also)
