How to delete an environment in LCS with no subscription in Azure

Hi,

I have an environment - DEV1 in LCS with a subscription - AzureSubDEV1.
Thus, I have a VM DEV1 in Azure under the subscription - AzureSubDEV1.

One day, the Azure subscription AzureSubDEV1 expired and was deleted by Azure, which means I can't find any VM/Subscription instance in Azure.
However, the environment DEV1 still exists in LCS with an incomplete status.

I tried to click /Deallocate/ in DEV1 but received an error message below.
I assume this is because LCS can't find any instance in Azure.
Does anyone know how to delete the environment DEV1 in LCS?

Many thanks.

    Hi JoBox,

It is indeed just marking the tick box you shared. When I did it, it is not loading and nothing happened. You can try using an in-private browsing mode next time if you then still have the same issue.

    Hi Andre,

Thanks for your help in marking the answer.
    How can you do this?
Just check 'Does this answer your question?'
I have tried several times, the browser always loads when I mark it.

    Hi JoBox,

Thanks for providing feedback about your progress. I learned something as well that the LCS environments can be deleted in an alternative way.

I have marked the reply from Hana for you.

    Hi Hana Xue,

Thanks for your information. : )

After checking the link you provided, it can be deleted by selecting "Delete LCS metadata" on the cloud-hosted environment page.
The VM DEV1 has been deleted in LCS; therefore, I can't see it in the LCS environment lists anymore.

PS: I can't mark your reply as answered because it is continually loading. I will try again later.

    Below information for reference.

    Hi Layan Jwei,

Yes, I am sure the old subscription was deleted by Azure because I received the deletion notification email from Azure.
Additionally, I have reviewed all the resources visible in Azure, and the DEV1 VM cannot be found.
I assume Azure will automatically delete related resources, including LCS's environment.

Thanks for your information. : )

    Hi JoBox,

In case the environment was stopped in LCS and you keep getting this error, you can contact Microsoft Support. There is no functional workaround apart from trying to delete the LCS project.

    Hi,
You can view this following document, which refers to the relevant content that cannot delete a cloud-hosted dev environment. You can check according to the document:

    Hi JoBox,

Did you try to stop the VM before deallocating it?

Also are you sure the old subscription is deleted an not expired?

if you go to subscriptions page and filter on All, you'll see expired subscriptions by looking at the status

    Thanks,
    Layan Jweihan
