Cloud hosted VM price along with VS2019 and SQL2019

Hi ,

Currently, we have cloud hosted VM's having D365 F&O along SQL2016 and VS2017. we want to upgrade to next level i.e. D365 F&O with SQL2019, VS2019. Could you please confirm if there is any extra cost need to pay for this requirement. Also do we need additional licenses required of VS2017 and SQL2019?

Related to the SQL Version, the virtual machines comes with the Developer edition. SQL Server 2022—Pricing | Microsoft

If you are covered by Software Assurance, the upgrade will be included in your license. Otherwise, you'll need to contact your licensing provider if you want some kind of upgrade pricing. Thanks, Andre, for the reply. I am also bit confused on usage of VS2017 and VS2019 license! if we can proceed with VS2017 license in VS2019 or not?

Hi,

The cloud-hosted VMs come with evaluation software for Windows and SQL. They will expire after the evaluation period. You can extend the trial a few times. For Visual Studio, you would need licenses, but I don't know if they are tight to specific versions or named users only.
