I'm using Microsoft Dynamics for Outlook synchronization method for my CRM online. I'm trying to synchronize the data in my Outlook by clicking the "Synchronize with CRM" button but I keep getting that error message when synchronizing Contacts. I tried to use a synchronization filter to limit the synchronization to a single Contact but that didn't work and still the CRM for Outlook is trying to synchronize a 10K+ Contact records and keep showing the error message for each of them.
How can I get more details about that error ? Is there a way to skip Contacts synchronization ? Shouldn't the Synchronization Filters limit the synchronization for the contacts I mentioned only and not try to get all the Contacts from the CRM?
Thanks

I have the same question (0)Hi SB User,
I do not see the error message you mention...
There are a couple of things here that I need to understand about your setup.
1. Are you setup with Server Side Synchronization (something like this):
If so then you can not utilize the "Synchronize with CRM" button as this will not work with server side synchronization. It will occur on a schedule (i.e. every 15 minutes by default)
2. You can definitely limit the "My Outlook Contacts" that are synchronized from Dynamics CRM to your Outlook client by going into filters:
I went into this filter and changed it to sync only one specific contact and this worked successfully to synchronize only the one contact to my Outlook and all others that I was synching were removed automatically. I had been synching "All Contacts" whether they were mine or not and when I changed this then It only showed the one contact and the others were gone effectively removing 83 of my 84 contacts from My Contacts in Outlook.
Hopefully this helps. If so, please mark verified.
Thanks,
