Change the name of saved record in custom entity

Hello Experts,

I have created a custom entity named Service Warranty Ledger. The form is displayed below. After saving the new record, it is displayed as New Service Warranty Ledger. What I need is to display the Serial Number instead after saving the record.

Also, in the active view, how do I make the serial number column be clickable so that when I click on a particular serial number, I will be redirected to the form view of that record?

Please help.

Hi Jolas365,

Could you delete this entity and recreate it?

If yes, when you recreate it, you could specify Serial Number field as Primary field:

Then your need can be meet:

Hi Steve Zhao,

I can do this. However, once a custom entity is created, the system will automatically assign the primary field to Name field which is required. I did not use that Name field in the main Service Warranty Ledger form. Question now is will the system allow two primary fields in the custom entity?

Hi Jolas365,

Yes, default primary field is Name. However, when you are creating an entity, you could change the primary field from Name to another field you want:
