Campaigns and Customer Journeys

Hi,

What's the standard practive in regards to having a Campaign record in relation to Customer Journeys? Our client would like a campaign hierarchy, with the campaign records showing things like contacts who were contacted, leads generated, opportunities generated etc.

Is the 'Campaign' entity used for this or do most people just do it directly from the Customer Journey records?

What happens for 'Events' where you'd like to track contacts (who were promoted to), sign-ups etc. If you track these just in the 'Event management' module, does this not make it hard for reporting - would a 'campaign' be setup for this too?

Thanks

Nils
