Assets missing from Fixed Assets reports

Here's an odd one....

When we print reports out of Fixed Assets, the last 4 assets in our system won't be included in the reports unless we specifically select the range of starting/ending asset numbers(!).

These 4 assets all begin with the letter 'Z', if that makes any difference (although I can't imagine why it would matter).

I don't know if this is true for ALL the reports, but it was for the ones I tested (Fixed Assets Inventory List for one).

Anyone else notice this? We're on GP 2010, SP1.

    Hi Gary,

Yes, this is still a known Quality Issue (4140). For now, your client will need to include the From/To ZZ restrictions to ensure the assets beginning with 'Z' are included on the problem report.

Client identified this same problem just recently but they are running GP2016.  This problem still exists?

    Hello,

I'm just checking in to see if you have any other questions.

    Hello and thanks for posting.

This is a known issue with Assets that begin with the letter Z.  To work around the problem you will need to add in a range on your reports with something like From: 1, To: ZZZZZZZ to ensure that all assets get included.  This is a problem with SQL sort orders where we are sending the wrong symbols to define the end range.
