Total Payment less than total transactions

We must convert sales and payment from RMS to our SAP every day. We found anomaly that total payment in one day (cash, credit card etc) was less than total sales.

I found for example transaction id number 123 found in table transactionnetry but no found in tenderentry.

Is it bugs?

Payments and sales are differents concepts. Do you think it is possible to sell something that the customer as not paid yet? It seems quite possible to me. For example: You make a workorder for a customer and that customer will pay when he'll get the merchandise.
