Dear Experts,

I m facing a problem that one of my Purchase orders need to close..i m going to use deliver reminder and then cancel quantity option..

but cancel quantity option is disable. I am using ax2012

your prompt replies will be highly appreciated.

Hi Yasir,

Unfortunately I cannot see your picture. It would be nice if you could attach it to the comment.

Try to review the following:

1. inventory transaction for the line where you want to cancel the remainder.

- do you have there Ordered inventory transaction?

- do you have inventory transaction at all, it could be non stocked item?

2. Was this PO invoiced? Was this line ever invoiced?

Any way, I believe you can Cancel the remainder from General tab > Line quantity > Select the line > click Update line > Delivery remainder. I think it should be available from there.

Thanks for your response.. actually we are receiving quantity partially .. and invoicing but some how we need to close this PO because vendor is no more available to deliver remaining quantity of PO.. Please see the pic above to know more detail about problem.

I am assuming that purchase order workflow is preventing you from the change. Have you tried to Request the change and after that cancel remainder?

but PO Wf is not customize..its by default...so how It can stop functionality of this Process.

Galyna thanks for you help...issue resolved after cancel and then it comes in submit form and deliver remainder button is enable and user done the rest..now PO is showing in Invoice status.

Yasir, I am glad that you resolved your issue. Just in case for others who bumped into such issues, this can be helpful:

1. When Change management is activated, Cancel quantity button is not enabled on the line

2. When Change management is activated, Cancel quantity button will be enabled if you call Request change. PO in this case will be in Draft and you can edit PO. After the change you can Submit the workflow.

3. When Change management is activated, Cancel quantity button is enabled if you call delivery remainder from the Line quantity form even if status is Approved.
