Hello,
I am using Dynamics 365 HR (Cloud HR / aka Talent)
I want to use Power Automate / Flow for Workflow / work items , approvals (such as leave absance for vacation etc.)
I want to avoid sync to CDS, since there is no data from Flow output that can finish in HR.
Question is, what instance / environment URL should I write in Flow connector - Dynamics 365 for Fin & Ops - https://emea.flow.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/shared_dynamicsax/dynamics-365-for-fin-ops/ . and I want to use this scenario www.youtube.com/watch

What I understood is that you have to sync the data to CDS to be able to use Power Automate with HR. Not sure if the Fin & Ops connector is supporting HR environments. At least my trial is not listed as option in Power Automate.
I can sync HR data to CDS, and then have Flow with CDS connector.
However, after Flow finish, where to put data that some workflow is approved (example vacataion/leave request), as I see, this can not be synced from CDS to HR Workflows back :/
Therefore, I would rather skip CDS and go directly with Flow finance&ops connector, but I do not know how to enter my enviornment/instance name there :/
The F&O connector will show available environments in a drop down list. However, I don't know if HR environments are supported here. The HR trial is not listed anyway, like any other 30-day trials for F&O.
I have production HR licenses, and two environments, production, and sandbox. However, in environment list/dropdown in Flow connector for F&O nothing is listed, and I can manually specify string, but unsure what.. :/
Any other suggestions? i need to run workflow to flow, for vacation approval.., after flow is completed, where to store "approved" or "rejected" action in CDS then, and how to sync it back to HR ?
Usually the valid (F&O) environments are listed in the combobox. It is then the full URL after https:// and stops at the question mark. So e.g. 'dyntest99999999999aos.cloudax.dynamics.com'. You can try it with your production HR environment URL, but not sure if this will get accepted. I don't have experience with sync the result back to HR via CDS.
I don't think so there is any connector for Dynamics 365 HR. It is always CDS/ ODATA when you are doing integration with D365 HR.
For example. If you want to sync data between D365 HR and D365 F&O, We use a Data integrator. Here we provide the CDS URL for D365HR and D365 F&O, We provide the environment URL.
In the same way, It is always used CDS most of the time for the connector.
Ok, I can sync HR to CDS and run Flow based on CDS, this works, also two way.
However, what about HR entities, like "work item" which are missing for sync, and not directly working on "leave absence" entity?

Thank you for comfirmation. I already have my HR synced with CDS in both ways.
However, I am missing tables/enttieis, like "work item" from workflow which should be able to sync, but entitiy is not on the list, therefore I am limited. :/

If there is no entity available out of the box, you can always customize and create your own: docs.microsoft.com/.../build-consuming-data-entities.
