Hello Team,

I am creating a report using report wizard and I am not able to select the Chart and Table format.

It is giving me below notification - "If you want to use a chart in this report, click Back, and then either add a summary type to an existing numeric column, or add a new numeric column with a summary type".

It is not allowing me to select the Summary type option when I tried to do so.

Any help or guidance is highly appreciated.

    I havent got the amswer yet.

    But I am assuming using ssrs we will be able to generate I think.

    If you want to select summary type, the column or group which you have added must be either money/currency or numeric. for e.g. if you are creating a report for accounts, you can use 'Annual revenue' for summary type which is a currency/money field or you can use 'No. of employees' which is a whole number field, etc.

    I just had this issue myself. You need to go back to the columns you selected, choose one and click "Change Properties...". You now need to select something for the "Summary type" other than none which is default. You will then be able to use the column in your chart.
