Check printing results in wrong format for some users

We are currently using Dynamics GP 10.

There are a couple of users who print their checks out of alignment, while some users print their checks properly.  Notably, both groups are using the same check format.

Essentially, the check is printed about a 1/2 inche above where it should be (i.e. text is moved up, etc.).

Has anyone encountered this before?  Surely, this is not a check format issue.  Could it be some user group issue?

I am relatively new to GP, so please explain as completely as you can.

 Thank you.

The drivers were the same.  This is expected, I would think, since the both computers are just mapping to a network printer (i.e. set up on the server, not individually on each PC).

     Any other ideas?

Look at the printer drivers on the workstations!

In this case, we have two sets of people with the issue.  Each group contains one person that can print properly... and one that cannot.  Each duo shares a network printer (meaning that the same printer that works for one person does not work for another).

One key point, I think, is that one person having trouble had their profile copied from the other person having trouble (when they were hired).  Having said that, these are the only two people in the company having trouble.

This indicates to me that their profile (shared, or inherited as it is) is the problem.  But, not being the administrator of GP, I need to be able to point him in the right direction.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Are they printing to different printers?  Or the same one?  I have seen different printers printing with different margins.  I think GP inherits some default settings from the actual printers, so that could be your difference.  Sounds like more of a printer or user setting issue than a GP issue.

Troubleshooting steps might be to have one user log in and print from the other users machine and see if you get the same results.  That way you can try to figure out if it is an issue with a user or with a client.  Then maybe try different printers.
