Error when setting due date for SOP Document using eConnect for GP 2010

When pushing the SOP Document Due Date through eConnect I receive a SQL error

"SqlDateTime overflow. Must be between 1/1/1753 12:00:00 AM and 12/31/9999 11:59:59 PM."

The date be sent is a valid date and within this range.  Serialization and eConnect assemblies are file version 11.0.2059

    Found this to be a problem with the date valeu being passed and not eConnect
